ZIDOO UHD3000 new high-end multimedia player with two 3.5" discs

Today we have with us a new high-end multimedia player called ZIDOO UHD3000 that mounts the Realtek RTD1619-DR SoC, a processor that offers us great video and audio quality.

This new TV-Box is positioned as the most powerful product in the ZIDOO range and has an aluminium box design that allows two 3.5 ″ storage units to be housed inside to store all our films. A TV-Box totally intended for those looking for quality in the reproduction of local content in video and audio, although as usual in this type of product we will not have support for paid streaming services such as Netflix or Prime video in 4K quality.

SoC, RAM and storage

The new ZIDOO UHD3000 integrates the Realtek RTD1619DR SoC has six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and integrates a Mali-G51 MP3 GPU. It has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 32 GB internal storage expandable by micro SD. You can all the details of this SoC and its capabilities in our ZIDOO Z9X review.

In the video and audio playback section we have support for the most modern formats and although it lacks AV1, it allows to play formats such as VP9 profile 2, HDR10 +, Dolby Vision and supports automatic refresh change. In this new Box it is not specified exactly if we have official support for Dolby ATMOS, DTS: X, DTS-HD MA and Dolby True-HD, we have HD audio support through DAC XMOS + ESS 9068 with DSD, MQA, For USB we have DSD512 and PCM 768KHz @ 32bit PCM.

Other specs

The ZIDOO UHD3000 player also includes 2 × 2 MIMO + Bluetooth 4.2 WiFi aC connectivity with two external antennas. The interfaces are very complete, and we have HDMI 2.0b output, HDMI 2.0a input, SPDIF, two USB 3.0, USB for audio, IR input, RS232, Gigabit Ethernet port, RCA L / R and balanced XLR L / R.

As an operating system we have Android 9 with the usual layer of ZIDOO ZIUI, our own remote control app and we have native DVD and Bluray playback support. Android 9 is a positive starting point, although as we know Realtek does not evolve much in its Android versions.
