We already have available since a few days ago in AliExpress the Zpg A1 Unicorn a retro console that includes a Mediatek Helio G99 processor and a 4-inch screen in 1:1 square format.
A small pocket console with a body made of plastic, a choice of 3 colours and weighing around 250 grams. Inside we are surprised by the presence of a powerful Mediatek Helio G99 processor as the Redmi Pad and has about 370,00 points in Antutu 9, so we will have enough raw power.
The operating system is Android 13 and thanks to its configuration it seems that we can move emulators up to PS2 and N3DS, something that most Chinese emulation consoles do not do.
Zpg A1 Unicorn Specifications
The Zpg A1 Unicorn console includes as main engine a powerful MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, an Octa Core manufactured in 6 nm. A chip with 2 ARM Cortex-A76 processors that reach 2.2 Ghz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 that reach up to 2.0 GHz. In the graphics section, we have integrated GPU Mali-G57 MC2 that allows us to play demanding titles with some fluidity. Note that this SoC is cooled by a small internal fan.
The RAM memory we have soldered on board is 6/8 GB that allows us to load multiple apps or navigation tabs. For storage, we have versions with 128/256 GB expandable by micro SD card.
Display and other notable features
The Zpg A1 Unicorn opts for a 4″ IPS screen with a resolution of 720×720 pixels and a 1:1 aspect ratio. For wireless connectivity, we assume that we will enjoy at least Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 5. As ports, we find a single USB Type-C 2.0, while the battery is 4800 mAh with fast charging 18 W that can give us an autonomy of up to 14.5 h in video playback.
As controls, we have a pair of analogue sticks, a D-pad, 4 triggers and various buttons. We also find a six-axis gyroscope, a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack in case we want to connect headphones.
