The long-awaited novelties in portable retroconsoles are beginning to arrive in stores, including the ANBERNIC RG505 that mounts the powerful Unisoc T618 processor.
The ANBERNIC RG505 is very similar to the Retroid Pocket 3+, although the screen grows minimally to 4.95 inches and the system jumps to Android 12. Its SoC is an Unisoc T618 chip that can even play some Nintendo Gamecube games and of course those that we can download from the Google app store. RAM is 4 GB, storage 128 GB eMMc 5.1
The big difference compared to the Retroid Pocket 3+ is the presence of a larger 5000 mAh battery and an OLED screen like the one on the PSP Vita with all its pros and cons, such as low brightness. An interesting console is special if you are going to emulate PSP.
Specifications of the ANBERNIC RG505
Inside the ANBERNIC RG505 we find once again an efficient Octa Core Unisoc T618 SoC manufactured in 12nm. A Chip that has 2 high-performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz ARM and an ARM Mali-G52 MP3 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz.
We also have 4 GB of LPDDR4x 1866Mhz RAM and 128 GB of eMMc 5.1 storage memory integrated into the board that we can expand thanks to the included micro SD card reader up to 512 GB.
Display and other features
The screen is a 4.95-inch OLED with a resolution of 960 × 544 pixels. We also have dual-band Wi-Fi AC connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. We have a 5000 mAh battery that will give us about 7 hours of use, a pair of 2W speakers each, a vibration motor, and a front microphone.
