New mini PC with the name AOOSTAR MACO 6850H, designed with an attractive aluminum case also offers OCuLink connector for external GPUs.
A computer similar to the first AOOSTAR MACO, but this time it changes the processor and offers no less than three NVMe storage units. As we will see it presents other important modifications such as its motherboard, offering this time 24 GB of integrated LPDDR5 RAM, without the possibility of expanding but configured in Dual channel and with a speed of 6400 MHz. At the top where we have the power button we have a fingerprint reader to unlock the system securely.
This mini PC also features two USB4 ports and an OCuLink interface that allows us to connect an eGPU with maximum performance. In this connector we can use for example the AOOSTAR AG02 dock itself.
Specifications of the AOOSTAR MACO 6850H
Inside this mini PC we locate the Octa Core AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H processor manufactured in 6nm with Zen3 technology. An Octa Core with sixteen threads, with a maximum speed of 4.7 GHz. It includes a powerful 12-core Radeon 680M iGPU that reaches a speed of 2.2 GHz. A hardware with which we can move any demanding design app and games up to 1080p if it does not have excessive 3D load.
In the RAM memory section we have 24 GB LPDDR5 6400 MHz Dual Channel soldered on the motherboard. We have three M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe4.0 SSD slots so we can have up to 24 TB.
Ports and operating system
In the wireless connectivity section we are up to date with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. As connectors we have a 3.5 mm audio jack, two USB-A 3.2 Gen2, two USB4 ports (full 40Gbps), a USB 2.0, OCuLink interface (64 Gbps) and two Ethernet 2.5 GB network ports. As video outputs we have at our disposal an HDMI 2.1, a DisplayPort 1.4 and the two USB4 with DP 2.1 video output with 8K@60 HDR10 support which gives us the possibility to connect up to 4 simultaneous displays.
This computer in the non-barebone versions includes Windows 11 Pro as a system, but we can also install Linux. It includes a small external power supply and VESA support for hanging it on a monitor.
