Teclast M89 is one of the few tablets on the market with OGS screen in 4:3 format (screen and glass integrated) that offers a very good image quality and is ideal for reading content. A tablet that also has a very careful design with metal body, very narrow side frames and with specifications that make the level of this product is quite attractive. A model that competes in options with the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 recently introduced.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Teclast M89 integrates the Hexa Core MediaTek MT8176 SoC as engine, with a cluster of two ARM Cortex-A72 CPUs capable of reaching up to 2.1GHz, another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs that reach up to 1.7 GHz and a GPU PowerVR GX625, a SoC that we saw in detail in the review of the Teclast T10 and we have in the comparison against the Helio X20. We also have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage memory thanks to the included microSD card slot.
Screen and other specifications
The screen of the Teclast M89 have a 7.9 inches IPS screen with narrow vertical frames and has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, at the top we have a webcam with a 5MP microphone that complements the rear of 8MP. We also have GPS, Dual Band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 stereo speakers and a 4840 mAh battery with fast charge. A connectivity level includes a audio jack, microHDMI video output and a USB Type-Cconnector for data and power.
On its design highlight its metal body with a weight that will be around 14 oz and a maximum thickness of 0.29 inches. As for the operating system, this new tablet is Android 7.0.
