As in the Mecool KT1 we have Android TV 11 as a system, although this includes certification for Netflix, Prime Video and Disney so we can view these and other streaming services in high quality. In charge of moving the Box KT2 is a Quad Core Amlogic S905Y4 processor of which you can read our review and includes support for Dolby Audio and is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
We have Chromecast included and a specific app for the DVB T/T2 receiver where we can schedule recordings, manage channels and configure different aspects.
MECOOL KT2 Specifications
This Android TV Box includes as its backbone an AMlogic S905Y4 processor manufactured in 12nm. This chip is a Quad Core with low power consumption ARM Cortex-A35 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz. An SoC that includes AV1 codec decoding, support for video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions and compatibility with HDR 10, HDR10 and HLG technologies.
This Smart Box has 2 GB of DDR4 RAM memory soldered on its motherboard. For storage, we have only one option with 32 GB of eMMc storage memory.
Other notable features
The MECOOL KT2 has for wireless connectivity Wifi 5 with internal antennas and Bluetooth 5.0. Connectors included on the perimeter of its small plastic case are a USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm jack for analogue audio and video output, an RJ45 10/100 Ethernet network connector and an HDMI 2.1 video output.
