New MSI Cubi 5 12M computers in compact format presented at CES 2023. Mini PCs that keep the design, but update their CPUs to Intel Gen12.
These small MSI PCs offer a classic design compared to the previous version with Intel Gen11 with a box with multiple slots for airflow and an active fan to keep temperatures at bay. We also count on its perimeter numerous connectors available. These computers have Intel Gen12 Core-U i5 / i7 processors manufactured in 7 nm that integrate the most efficient new generation Intel Xe GPUs. These configurations are more than enough to run any professional app or digital signage system.
MSI Cubi 5 12M Specifications
The new MSI Cubi 5 12M mini PCs are powered by Intel Core-U processors. We have options with the Intel Core i3-1215U with 6 cores between 3.3 and 4.4 GHz with an Intel UHD GPU, the Intel Core i5-1235U with 10 cores between 3.3 and 4.4 GHz with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics GPU of 80 EU and also with the Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores between 3.5 and 4.7 GHz with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics GPU of 96 EU. A new generation of Intel processors featuring only 7 nm lithography with a power consumption between 15 and 55 W TPD.
Inside the case we can mount up to 64 GB of RAM thanks to its two SO-DIMM DDR4 slots up to 3200 MHz and for storage we have a 1x M.2 NVMe PCI 4x connector. It also has an internal bay to accommodate a 2.5″ SATA3 disk drive that we can use for heavy files.
Other features
In the wireless connectivity section we have an adapter up to Wifi 6E + Bluetooth 5 with internal antennas. We also have multiple front ports with two USB-A 3.2, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbps) connector, audio jack and power button. In the rear area we have two Ethernet 2.5 GB + 1 GB network ports, two USB-A 3.2 ports, two HDMI 2.0b + DP 1.4 video outputs that allow us to connect up to 3 displays in 4K/8K quality.
The MSI Cubi 5 12M has very compact dimensions with integrated VESA support and an external power transformer. These computers are perfect for desktop, industrial use or signage.
