New low-end Box that arrives at Chinese stores with the name of Q96 Hero and under the usual square box format, although this time with a psychotropic decoration on top. This is the typical low-end box commanded by Android 9.0 that only stands out for including WiFi aC and a Ethernet Gigabit port in its configuration, although of course at the cost of only having 2GB of RAM, when the usual for this price is 4GB. One more Smart Box that brings little to what is in stores right now.
Basic review
We can see the performance of the Q96 Hero in the review of a similar Box with the same RK3318 SoC that we have already reviewed on our website. This Android TV-Box that can be used as a basic 4K media player with KODI or IPTV and in it we can also run simple games without too much demand for resources. Remember that these economic Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates, so we can only see Netflix in the most basic image quality. If you are interested in watching paid streaming in HD or 4K quality you can see our TV-Box list with DRM certificates compatible with these streaming services.
