Another Box that comes to Chinese stores under the name of S8 Max + and that comes with the combo RK3328 SoC + 4GB of RAM + Android 9.0. Few new points in this product made directly from a Chinese factorie, only mention its USB Type-C interface although in advertising it is not specified if it is for power, data and / or video. A suitable Box to use it as a media player even in 4K resolutions and little else.
Basic Review
The Smart Box S8 Max plus can be compared with a similar model that we have already analyzed. This is an Android TV-Box that can be used as a basic media player with KODI or IPTV even in 4K resolutions and where we can also run simple games without too much resources. We must remember that these cheap Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates with which we can only see Netflix as a basic image. The Smart Box S8 Max + features the Rockchip RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. It has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
