The lowest range of Smart Boxes with Android continues to bring us news, and today we find the new TANIX A3 with a price that does not exceed 21 $.
Inside this Box we find the Allwinner H313 SoC which is one of the most basic chips today and is designed for use as a multimedia player up to 1080p resolution as we saw in the review of another TV-Box with this same SoC. Its operating system is up to date with Android 10, although we can expect little optimization and low performance, since we only have 1 GB of available RAM and 8 GB of storage, something that greatly limits its possibilities. Within this low range, it is worth taking into account a Stick like Xiaomi, since at least we will have updates and a slightly more optimized system.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TANIX A3 TV-Box includes the Allwinner H313 SoC as an engine, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPU with native decoding of the h.265 and VP9 codecs and support for HDR10 video. We have only 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM on the board and 8 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader that this equipment includes on the side of its plastic box.
Other specs
Regarding wireless connectivity, this TV-Box has wifi b / g / n, but it does NOT have Bluetooth. As connectors, we have little, since we only find an HDMI 2.0a video output, 10/100 network connector, two USB 2.0 ports and a 3.5 mm jack through which we have analogue audio and video output. This TV-Box also includes a basic quality IR remote control with quick access keys.
