Android TV-Sticks are gaining presence in the market after a good season almost disappeared and today we found another one, called TV98.
A small multimedia player that this time works with Android TV 14 as a system and with a SoC such as the Allwinner H618 that supports decoding for the AV1 codec and evolves the Allwinner H616. The configuration of this TV-Stick allows it to be used without problems as a multimedia center up to 4K UHD resolutions or to run apps of all kinds, including emulators and games, as long as they do not have too many graphic needs. It will also work well as a content receiver, as we can broadcast from our smartphone, since it supports DNLA, AirPlay and Miracast.
On the TV98 it is better to forget about updates, although according to advertising it has them via OTA and it is not suitable for watching video in maximum quality in apps of paid streaming platforms. Although it has a direct access key to Netflix on its remote control is a deception, for streaming is better other certified options.

Inside the Stick with Android TV98 we have as engine an Allwinner H618 SoC manufactured in 28 nm. This is a chip that integrates 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5 Ghz and a modest integrated ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
Of this Stick with Android we have a single version with 2 GB of RAM DDR3 and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand only through the USB 2.0 port by installing a pendrive.

For wireless connectivity we have Wifi aC Dual Band with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.0. As connectors we find in its small plastic case a USB 2.0 port, a USB-C for power, IR sensor extension jack and an HDMI 2.0a video output port that allows us to output video up to 4K@60fps resolutions.
With the TV98 comes an infrared remote control with microphone to use the Google Assistant, and HDMI cable to start using this Box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to our TV.
