Xiaomi Pad 6 Max debuts with a large 14 "screen

The new Xiaomi Pad 6 Max has just been presented in China, a tablet that stands out for its large screen of no less than 14 inches.

A screen the size of a laptop with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a high resolution, compatibility with Dolby Vision, HDR10 and support for stylus, a panel that dwarfs that of the original Xiaomi Pad 6. The processor is also upgraded as we jump forward with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and adopt a Dolby Audio compatible 8 speaker audio system supported with 4 microphones.

Its body, how could it be otherwise, is made of metal, it measures 253.95 x 165.18 x 6.51 mm and weighs 490 grams. The operating system has the MIUI 14 for Pad layer based on Android 13.

Specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max

In this new Xiaomi Pad 6 Max we find the Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with ARM Armv9 architecture and manufactured in 4 nm. It features a Cortex-X2-based main core up to 3.2 GHz, three high-performance Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8 GHz, and four low-power Cortex-A510 cores up to 2.0 GHz.

In the graphic section, we have an Adreno 730 GPU that allows us to move everything to the maximum thanks to its speed of 875 MHz in turbo mode. This GPU supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0, DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.1 and is capable of video decoding of the latest codecs such as the recent AV1 codec used by Youtube and Netflix for their 4K videos.

For the RAM memory section we have variants with 8/12/16 GB LPDDR5X and for storage 256/512 GB and 1 TB high-speed UFS 3.1.

Display and other features

The screen is a 14-inch IPS with a refresh rate of up to 120 HZ, a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:10, a maximum brightness of 600 nits, a contrast of 1200:1, an ambient light sensor and corning gorilla glass 5 protection.

We have Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port, fingerprint reader on the power button, NFC, while the battery is 10000 mAh, they allow fast charging of 67 W and reverse of 33 W. In the section Of cameras, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max includes a 50 MP main sensor with a 2MP depth sensor and a 30 MP front camera.
