Inside the CHUWI CoreBook X we have the Intel Core i5-1250H (Alder Lake-H) processor manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7). We have 12 cores, with four Performance cores up to 4.5 GHz and eight Efficent cores up to 3.4 GHz, which gives us up to twelve threads of execution. In the graphics section we have an Intel Xe GPU up to 13000 MHz with 80 EU. This processor has a power consumption of 35 to 95 W TDP. This computer has a very efficient performance, suitable for editing applications and 3D games without excessive load.
Benchmarks CHUWI CoreBook X
We ran multiple performance tests on the Chuwi CoreBook X i5-12450H, and this one is right in line with these Celeron type processors manufactured in 10nm. The installed Intel Xe GPU with 80EU as we can see is limited for running somewhat demanding games and emulators.
Battery and thermals
The Chuwi CoreBook X i5-12450H has a pretty good thermal, the fan is not heard at all in general, although at maximum it has drops of 20% to protect the processor. Its 10 nm processor is basically efficient thanks to its large and small cores. The 46.2Wh battery with the screen at medium brightness can reach 6/7 hours if we make a moderate use, it is not its strongest point.
- Thermals: Idle 40ºC / Basic use 43ºC / Maximum 79ºC / CPU 4.7 GHz max / Performance up to 80%.
- Gaming performance: LoL 75ºC / CPU 3.4 GHz on average.
- Noise: Fan active / 33 dB.
- Battery: 46.2Wh
Games
We conducted multiple gaming performance tests on the Chuwi CoreBook X i5-12450H, the results are in line with this type of GPU integrated into the low-power Intel. As we see Intel Xe GPU with 80 EU is suitable for games in 1080p or 720p quality, it is suitable for heavy games to some extent.
- Setting: Medium quality / 1080p resolution / No VSync / Play emulators with RetroArch.
- On models with integrated Intel HD GPU on low and 720p resolution.
You can play titles like LoL with a fairly surplus frame rate, in more demanding games like Fornite ta not have good experience. As for emulators at most we stay in some simple Wii titles, PS2 and the like, we can not with demanding 3D emulators but supports some WiiU or Switch games if they are simple.
