CHUWI Hi10 Max Laptop Details
Unboxing and first contact
The new 2 in 1 CHUWI Hi10 Max comes protected with foam to prevent damage in transport. In the following video you can see how the screen looks like, its design and construction, as well as listen to the audio from the speakers.
Description
This CHUWI Hi10 Max has an aluminum and plastic body with rounded edges. On the top front we have a 5 MP camera and it has microphone for audio, on the back we have another 8 MP camera. We have a magnetic back cover that can be folded as a stand.
On the sides of the laptop we have the connectors, a micro HDMI, two USB-C 3.2 Full and another USB-A 3.2 connector. The cooling system mounts a small semi-passive fan that fulfills its function in silence. Integrated we have 12 GB LPDDR5 4800 MHz RAM memory and a 512 M.2 NVMe 2280 M.2 SSD with difficult access.
Display
This tablet has a 12.96″ IPS InCell panel that offers excellent resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels, with 60 Hz refresh, the image quality is high and with good angles. This screen can be used as a tablet, has 10 touch points and supports capacitive pen. The overall quality is very good, as you can see in the video above the angles are wide.
Keyboard, pen and trackpad
The keyboard is backlit and has a compact form factor with good sized flat keys. The lid has amagnetic system that turns the notebook off and on when closed or opened, the rear area is soft and gets dirty easily.
This keyboard is pleasant to the touch and responds well to keystrokes. The trackpad is small but sufficient, we can use it comfortably. The keys are in English but we can use vinyl stickers for more languajes if we want to understand it more easily. We have used the official recommended CHUWI Hi Pen H7 capacitive stylus and the result is quite good, fluid and without much lag.
Camera and audio
The camera integrated in the CHUWI Hi10 Max laptop has a basic quality. It can be used for video conferencing thanks to its integrated microphone. It also mounts two 1W speakers, the sound is quite powerful overall.
System and performance
Environment and user experience
We start the CHUWI Hi10 Max by pressing the top power button. As OS we have Windows 11 Home 64bit activated with its drivers installed correctly, this system is updated smoothly with Windows Update. We found that the system moves smoothly on the desktop, it is possible to load a large number of navigation tabs and run the classic apps quickly.
- System version installed: Windows 11 Home 64bit
- Pre-installed software: No / Virus check OK.
- BIOS: AMI text.
- Tutorials: Control with your Smartphone / Install Windows 11 / Migrate Windows to SSD
Network, storage, RAM and ports
In terms of connectivity in this CHUWI we find a wireless Wifi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 adapter (Intel AX101) with good speed. The RAM comes soldered and is 12 GB of RAM LPDDR5 4800 MHz integrated with Dual Channel configuration. The 512 GB M.2 2280 PCIe disk offers good speed but we see no way to change it properly.
- Wifi: Range 42 dBm / Link 5G 1200 Mbps / Bluetooth OK.
Processor, performance and thermals
As engine of the CHUWI Hi10 Max we have the Intel N100 (Alder Lake-N) processor manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7) that has four cores and four threads that moves up to 3.2 GHz. In the graphics section we have an Intel UHD Graphics GPU up to 750 MHz with 24 EU (the N95 has 16 EU). This processor has a power consumption of only 6 W TDP. This computer has adequate performance for office and multimedia use, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications, light games and emulators.
Benchmarks CHUWI Hi10 Max
We ran several performance tests on the CHUWI Hi10 Max, and it is in line with these 10nm Celeron processors. The installed Intel UHD Graphics GPU as we can see is limited for running games and emulators without excessive load.
Battery and thermals
This tablet CHUWI Hi10 Max as we have checked has good thermals, the semi-passive fan is not heard at all in general. Its 10 nm processor is basically efficient thanks to its large and small cores. The battery with the screen at medium brightness can reach 6.5 hours if we make a moderate use.
- Thermals: Idle 40ºC / Basic use 43ºC / Maximum 79ºC / CPU 4.7 GHz max / Performance up to 100%.
- Gaming performance: LoL 75ºC / CPU 3.4 GHz on average.
- Noise: Fan active / 31 dB.
- Battery: 36.48 Wh (7.6 V/4800 mA)
Games
We conducted several tests with popular games on the CHUWI Hi10 Max, the results are in line with this type of GPU integrated into low-power Intel. As we see Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 24 EU is suitable for games in 1080p or 720p quality, it is suitable for heavy games without many 3D elements.
- Setting: Medium quality / 1080p resolution / No VSync / Play emulators with RetroArch.
- On models with integrated Intel HD GPU on low and 720p resolution.
It is possible to play titles like LoL with a fairly surplus frame rate, in more demanding games like Fornite ta not have good experience. As for emulators at most we stay in some simple titles of Wii, PS2 and the like, we can also with something more demanding to WiiU.
Video and audio test
Playback test
As for video playback, the CHUWI Hi10 Max offers an integrated Intel UHD Graphics GPU with a VPU with support for current codecs such as AV1. We also have support for HDR10 and multichannel audio up to 7.1. This PC is perfectly valid as a multimedia system to use KODI, IPTV or to use it with PLEX.
- Video: 2x USB-C / 1x micro HDMI / HDR10.
- Audio: USB-C and HDM up to 7.1 Jack stereo / Dolby DTS.

Conclusions and purchase links for CHUWI Hi10 Max
Review
The CHUWI Hi10 Max undoubtedly stands out for its compact 2-in-1 design and the excellent 12.96″ IPS Incell 3K screen. Thanks to the Intel N100 processor, with an effective and low-noise cooling system and good temperatures we have a good performance. Its battery is suitable for home use and the design with magnetic keyboard and digital pen allows multiple uses. The magnetic back cover is the weakest point as the folding as a support is somewhat uncomfortable.
The CHUWI Hi10 Max includes a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, which combined with 12 GB Dual Channel LPDDR5 RAM allows us to move any program without problems. As usual the other sections such as the camera, microphone and speakers are not premium but fulfill their function. For wireless connectivity we have Wifi 6 which is generally quite fast.
As we have seen the CHUWI Hi10 Max is a compact and efficient 2 in 1 system with good design. A computer that allows you to use it as a tablet or computer without carrying much weight.
