System and performance
Environment and user experience
We start up the GEEKOM XT12 Pro by pressing the front power button, and a led is activated. In a few seconds we are on the Windows 11 Pro 64bit desktop, perfectly activated and without additional software. We checked that we have all drivers installed correctly, this PC is updated without problems with Windows Update. The system moves very fast, it is a small computer valid for using design apps at a good level and desktop use.
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 64bit / Linux optional.
- Software: No preinstalled apps / Antivirus check = OK
- BIOS: ESC access / BIOS AMI text / WOL / Auto Power ON / Power ON RTC.

The SSD is a NVMe PCIe 4×4 with good speeds, we can also mount a SATA M.2 disk. The RAM memory is 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz with Dual Channel configuration. The two USB4 40Gbps connectors are compatible with DisplayPort video and charging, they work perfectly with an eGPU.

Processor, performance and thermal
The small PC GEEKOM XT12 Pro integrates the Intel Core i9-12900H (Alder Lake) chip manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7) which has 14 cores, 6 performance and 8 efficient, up to 3.2 GHz. In the graphics section we have an Intel Xe GPU up to 1450 MHz with 96 EU. This processor has a power consumption limited to 35 W TDP. This computer has a very high computational performance, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, editing applications at high load level.
GEEKOM XT12 Pro Benchmarks
We performed several performance tests with the GEEKOM XT12 Pro, the performance is in line with these Celeron processors manufactured in 10 nm although it is a significant improvement over the Intel N5095. The installed Intel UHD Graphics GPU, as we can see, is limited for running simple games without excessive 3D load.
We spent numerous performance tests with the GEEKOM XT12 Pro, as we see its performance is at a very good level, especially in raw computation. The GPU installed Intel Xe with 96EU which as can be seen offers much better performance than the Intel HD Graphics, being close to the AMD Vega.
- Consumption: Off 0.9W / Idle 8W / Usage 23W / Max 78W.
- Thermal: 40ºC – 71ºC Max / 78ºC Gaming / CPU 3.2 GHz Max / Performance up to 100%.
- Noise: 43 dBA Max / Variable RPM / Semi-passive.
Games
We performed gaming tests on the GEEKOM XT12 Pro and the results are in line with this type of integrated GPU. As we can see Intel Xe GPU with 96 EU is suitable for games in 1080p or 720p quality, it is not suitable for heavy games with many 3D elements. It is possible to use the XeSS system to get some more performance in games losing quality.
- Setting: High quality / 1080p resolution / No VSync / Play emulators with RetoArch.
- On models with integrated Intel HD GPU on low and 720p resolution.
This mini PC allows us to play titles such asLoL with a fairly high frame rate, in more demanding games like Fornite we do not have a good experience. As for emulators at most we stay in some simple games on Switch, PS3 and similar systems, we can not with demanding 3D emulators.
Video and audio tests
Playback test
As for video playback, this GEEKOM XT12 Pro mini PC has an integrated Intel UHD Graphics GPU with VPU support for HEVC, VP9 and AV1 codecs. There is also support for HDR10 and multi-channel audio up to 7.1. This PC is perfectly valid as a multimedia system to use KODI, IPTV or to use it with PLEX.
- Video outputs: 2x HDMI 2.0 / 2x USB4 with DisplayPort 1.4 / 8K@60 / HDR10.
- Audio outputs: HDMI up to 7.1 / Stereo audio jack.
- Tutorials: Install KODI with add-ons / Auto refresh rate / Multichannel audio on Windows

Opinion
As we have seen in the review, the GEEKOM XT12 Pro is a very attractive mini PC with its metal case and high performance. We can use them without problems in design apps and multimedia. The Intel Core i9-12900H processor gives us good results, especially in CPU raw calculation, while the Intel Xe GPU is the most limited for 3D games.
Also, noteworthy are its four video outputs, fast storage thanks to its NVMe 4×4 SSD and ability to install an extra SATA M.2. We appreciate its two USB4 40 Gbps ports that perform perfectly even with an eGPU. We also have a semi-passive fan that is not annoying at all, only heard in powerful calculations.
The GEEKOM XT12 Pro mini PC is a compact and very powerful computer. Thanks to it we can consume multimedia, surf the Internet or use design apps at a good level at a good price.
