This keyboard is pleasant and responds well to keystrokes. The trackpad is small but sufficient, we can use it comfortably. The keys are in English but we can use vinyl stickers in Spanish if we want to understand it more easily. We have used the official recommended capacitive pen CHUWI Hi Pen H7 and the result is basic and not useful for taking notes very fast, just to draw in a simple way.

System and performance

Environment and user experience

We start the CHUWI Hi10 X1 by pressing the top power button. As OS we have Windows 11 Home 64bit activated with its drivers installed correctly, this system is updated without problems with Windows Update. We found that the system moves smoothly on the desktop, it is possible to load a large number of navigation tabs and run classic apps quickly.

  • System version installed: Windows 11 Home 64bit
  • Pre-installed software: No / Virus check OK.
  • BIOS: AMI text.
  • Tutorials:

Network, storage, RAM and ports

In terms of connectivity in this CHUWI we find a wireless Wifi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 adapter (Intel AX101) with good speed. The RAM comes soldered and is 12 GB of LPDDR5 4800 MHz RAM integrated with Dual Channel configuration. The 256 GB SATA disk offers good speed but we see no way to change it properly.

  • Wifi: Range 42 dBm / Link 5G 1200 Mbps / Bluetooth OK.

Processor, performance and thermals

As engine of the CHUWI Hi10 X1 we have the Intel N100 (Alder Lake-N) processor manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7) that has four cores and four threads that moves up to 3.2 GHz. In the graphics section we have an Intel UHD Graphics GPU up to 750 MHz with 24 EU (the N95 has 16 EU). This processor has a power consumption of only 6 W TDP. This computer has adequate performance for office and multimedia use, it is suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications, light games and emulators.

Benchmarks CHUWI Hi10 X1

We performed multiple performance tests on the CHUWI Hi10 X1, as we see is in the line of these Celeron processors manufactured in 10 nm. The GPU installed Intel UHD Graphics as we can see, is limited to run games and emulators without excessive load.

Battery and thermals

This 2 in 1 CHUWI Hi10 X1 as we have seen has good thermals, the semi-passive fan is not at all audible in general. Its 10 nm processor is basically efficient thanks to its large and small cores. The battery with the screen at medium brightness can reach 6.5 hours with moderate use.

  • Thermals: Idle 40ºC / Basic use 43ºC / Maximum 68ºC / CPU 4.7 GHz max / Performance up to 100%.
  • Gaming performance: LoL 75ºC / CPU 3.4 GHz on average.
  • Noise: Fan active / 31 dB.
  • Battery: 36.48 Wh (7.6 V/4800 mA)

Games

We put the CHUWI Hi10 X1 to the test with several popular games, the results are in line with this type of GPU integrated into low-power Intel. As we see Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 24 EU is suitable for games in 1080p or 720p quality, it is suitable for heavy games without many 3D elements.

  • Setting: Medium quality / 1080p resolution / No VSync / Play emulators with RetroArch.
  • On models with integrated Intel HD GPU on low and 720p resolution.

In this to hardware we can play titles like LoL with a frame rate quite surplus, in more demanding games like Fornite ta not have good experience. As for emulators at most we stay in some simple titles of Wii, PS2 and the like, we can also with something more demanding to WiiU.

Conclusions and purchase links for CHUWI Hi10 X1

Review

The CHUWI Hi10 X1 offers a compact 2-in-1 system with a small 10.1″ screen suitable for those looking for something small. Thanks to the Intel N100 processor we have a good performance for desktop or multimedia use. Its battery is small so we can not use it for dozens of hours, the design with magnetic keyboard and digital pen allows multiple ways to use it. The magnetic back cover is quite simple and gets dirty easily.

This 2 in 1 CHUWI Hi10 X1 includes a 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD hard to change, combined with 8 GB RAM LPDDR5 in Dual Channel we can run simple apps and games. As usual in this range the rest of the sections such as the camera, microphone and speakers are not premium but fulfill their function. For wireless connectivity we have Wifi 6 quite fast as a positive point.

In short, the CHUWI Hi10 X1 is a compact and economical 2-in-1 system. A computer for those looking for a compact size sacrificing other facets.
