Lenovo is entering the market for portable cloud-streaming gaming consoles with the Lenovo Legion C700, a device that reminds us of the Logitech G Cloud.
This device, which will be fully unveiled in August, marks a very interesting shift in the company’s gaming division. Instead of relying on heavy, power-hungry hardware like its popular Legion Go models, the C700 is designed as a machine specialized in cloud gaming.
This machine directly builds on the concept of the canceled 2021 Legion Play prototype—a device we can emulate on our smartphones or tablets using apps like Moonlight or similar ones.

Lenovo Legion C700, Features
In terms of design and controls, the first leaked images reveal a chassis that inevitably resembles a compact Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet with controllers attached to the sides. The ergonomics appear well thought out, featuring asymmetrically arranged analog joysticks, a classic D-pad, generously sized ABXY action buttons, and several configurable shortcuts.
The back of the console stands out for featuring a pair of additional “paddle”-style buttons and a generously sized active ventilation grille. The latter suggests that, despite being a cloud-based device, it will feature a chip with enough power headroom to run demanding emulators locally.
Cloud Services and Hardware
The console will debut alongside Tencent’s START cloud gaming service, which guarantees minimal latency and optimized streaming performance. But it will surely run on Android, and we’ll likely be able to install other services such as Steam Remote Play or NVIDIA GeForce Now.
On the bottom edge of the device, you’ll find a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, a microSD memory card slot, and an essential 3.5 mm physical headphone jack. Although Lenovo has not yet confirmed the technical specifications or the final launch price, the commercial synergies…
