We already have the first version of YUZU the Nintendo Switch emulator for Android. A system that is still in early stages but that promises a lot.
Recently we have seen how other projects like Skyline has closed, replaced by the Strato emulator and now it seems that YUZU joins the party. We are sure Nintendo is looking forward to this move. If it discovers a single line of proprietary code in the emulator, it will attack with all its lawyers, as recently happened with Dolphin on Steam making the mistake of putting the keys in the source code.
YUZU for Android
With this new version of YUZU for Android we can enjoy this emulator on some devices that have the necessary hardware. We have to forget about trying to run it on systems without Adreno GPU and Qualcomm processors. On other powerful processors such as Exynos + AMD RDNA we still have no results but it seems that it can work.
- Download YUZU for Android on Google Play
- Download YUZU EA for Android (development version) on Google Play.
Specifications of YUZU for Android

Performance
With the release of the emulator, a performance figures have been released. In the tests we have used two quite popular cell phones. As we see in demanding games we have very fair results, in addition powerful graphics errors are reported. There is a lot of variety of graphics hardware in Android and this does not help.
- Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Snapdragon 865 / GPU Adreno 650 )
- Samsung Galaxy S23 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / Adreno 740).
Future
Maybe in the future we will see this emulator running on other hardware and on more humble systems. It would be very interesting a version running on NVIDIA Shield TV Pro with its Tegra+ processor very similar to the native hardware of the Switch. This compilation will also allow soon to present YUZU for MacOS with ARM processors.
