The CHUWI AuPad is the new CHUWI tablet that we will see today in our analysis or review. A tablet with Snapdragon processor and DRM certificates.
This new tablet has an 11″ IPS screen and integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 Octa Core SoC that will give us a good performance for general use. In terms of specifications, we have no less than 8 GB, 128 GB storage UFS 2.2 internal UFS 2.2 very fast and Android 14 system. In addition, we have DRM Widevine L1 certificate that allows us to use the Netflix app without problems up to FullHD quality.

Unboxing and first contact

Description
The CHUWI AuPad tablet has an aluminum back and a classic design. In the central front we have a 5 MP camera, behind we have another 13 MP camera with AF and a small led flash.

On the side we have the volume rocker, power, microphone, USB-C connector and audio jack. In addition, we have a slot with DUAL SIM capability to connect to 4G networks. We can also mount a micro SD card up to 512 GB to expand storage.
In the upper area, in addition to the front camera, we have a microphone for video conferencing. As we have seen, the four speakers are very powerful.

Screen
The screen that mounts this tablet is 10.95″ IPS with a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz, has a brightness sufficient for normal indoor use, although it may suffer outdoors. The quality of colors and contrast is good, but not excellent, its IPS screen is valid for home use, multimedia or web browsing.

The cameras of the CHUWI AuPad tablet are of basic quality, we have few options in the settings. The 5 MP video conferencing camera is ok and sufficient for basic use. The 13 MP rear camera with AF also gives limited results in low light, the accompanying LED flash is testimonial.

System and performance of the CHUWI AuPad
Environment and user experience
The new CHUWI AuPad tablet has the Android 14 operating system with few additions from CHUWI. In a basic use for browsing and consuming multimedia content, it moves fast and we can use the most common apps without problems thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC and good storage speed. We found no useless apps installed.
- Launcher: We can change the launcher / Android UI renders at 1920×1200 pixels.
- Version: Android 14 (64 bit) / No customization / Updates via OTA
- Languages and Google Play: Spanish and all international Android classics / Google Play installed.
Network, storage, RAM and ports
In the CHUWI AuPad we have Wifi 5 connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity presents no problems, too bad it does not integrate Wifi 6. The range is adequate for home use and has a normal quality.

As we have checked the internal storage can be expanded by its microSD card reader, the results are excellent thanks to the UFS 2.2 memory and compared to other cheap tablets leaves them quite behind.

Power and performance of the CHUWI AuPad
In terms of power, the CHUWI AuPad tablet has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chip that has two 4x Cortex-A73 up to 2.8 GHz and another 4x Cortex-A55 up to 1.9 GHz. In the graphics section we have an Adreno 610 GPU that is in the lower mid-range today, it allows us to play demanding titles in medium quality. A SoC manufactured in 6 nm with adequate performance for home use.
In terms of power thanks to the integrated GPU Adreno 610 we can play demanding games like PUBG at medium level, Genshin Impact in medium quality despite being so demanding, also the popular COD: Mobile in this quality quite smoothly. We can also play much more demanding titles remotely with our PC using Moonligh + Sunshine. To play retro games we recommend use RetroArch.

- Controls: Compatible with Gamepads via cable or bluetooth.
Battery and temperature
The CHUWI AuPad tablet has a 7000 mAh battery, as we have checked, the autonomy is correct in a normal mixed use and using the screen brightness at medium level. We have charge up to 10 W with the charger that comes standard, a fairly normal speed.

In the video playback section, the new CHUWI AuPad has a VPU compatible with h.265 and VP9 codecs for resolutions up to 4K, it is compatible with HDR content and does not have support for AV1 codec. We can use players such as KODI or PLEX correctly without compatibility problems.

Opinion about the CHUWI AuPad
As we have seen, the CHUWI AuPad tablet is a fairly classic product in this mid-range and with an attractive and robust design. This tablet as an extra includes Widevine L1 certificate, with it we have the option to watch Netflix and other services in FullHD quality.
We also have four speakers that give us an elevating sound and help us to complete the experience while playing games or watching videos. Note that we have a 4G-LTe modem if we want to have connectivity without relying on Wifi and GPS. Note that we have Android 14 pretty clean, and in general is system is very fluid thanks to its 8 GB of RAM and a fast internal storage type UFS 2.2. The battery life is a bit short, but it’s sufficient for domestic use.
As we can see, the CHUWI AuPad tablet presents us with an economical tablet suitable for multimedia use that offers good performance and where the inclusion of DRM certificates is appreciated.
